Brave Face

This is my 1st blog for a while. (Sorry about that, new job caught up with me) It's also brand new. The 1st new song in a couple of years. You can tell what it's about. Something that happened today convinced me to write this. Mainly because I use verse as the way of getting my feelings out.



I just heard the news
And I guess I never really knew what I'd lost
But now you've moved on, I see
It's too late, but now I realise, just what you meant to me

It's been a while since we could call us a couple
And even then, it's not like we really were
But the thought of you with someone else, hurts so much
I let you go, I messed it up, I guess I never tried
But since that day, there's many times, I've sat here and I've cried

It's just another day, like any other day
But now I know that you will never be mine
I put on a brave face, even tho it hurts
It hurts inside, but you think I'm fine

You know I wish you well, and I hope that he's the one
I want you to be happy, and I mean that
Deep down I knew, I never was quite good enough for you
But I miss you, really miss you, and I mean that
